	Golf

Our Orlando vacation home rental near Disney World provide a great base for golfers as the nearby surroundings offer a wealth of golf courses. It is not just Walt Disney World that attracts visitors to Orlando! Near Disney Mouse House there are probably in the region of 20 courses within just a few minutes drive. The most testing and, arguably, the most challenging course must be the 'Champion's Gate' course - an 18-hole championship golf course, designed by the legendary Australian golfer, Greg 'The Shark' Norman, that is only a few minutes drive away (less than 5 minutes drive!).


	Tennis

If walking around Epcot, MGM Studios, The Magic Kingdom and the like are not enough exercise for you and you want to try something a little more energetic then, when taking a break from Walt Disney World and the other attractions in Orlando, why not try having a game of tennis? There is a clay court in 'The Village at Tuscan Ridge' that is FREE to use by guests staying at Disney Mouse House. Racquets and balls supplied (by us).


	Days Out

Your Disney holidays wouldn't be the same without some days out to the beautiful sandy beaches to be found on both the Gulf and Atlantic coasts. Orlando vacation rental homes provide a central point for getting to both coasts as each is between 60-75 minutes drive. On the Gulf coast you will find Tampa Bay, Clearwater, St Petersburg, St. Pete's Beach, Venice and Sarasota. On the Atlantic coast you have the towns and beach resorts of places such as Cocoa Beach, Daytona, St Augustine and of course here you will also find the Kennedy Space Centre.


	Supermarkets and Shopping

There are numerous small and large stores for shopping all within a few minutes drive. For groceries there are two Publix supermarkets about 5 minutes drive away. One is at Champion's Gate (near the golf course detailed above) and the other (1/10th mile further away) just north of the villa on Highway 27. A little further north on this highway you will find a Super Wal*Mart (just past the Highway 192 turn). Here you can shop for all manner of things that includes clothes, bedding, shoes, electronics, cookware, home wares etc. and grocery shopping too. Going south on Highway 27 just by the east bound entrance to the Interstate 4 is a new shopping area with a number of large stores such as J C Penney and Target. About a half-mile away (again south bound on Highway 27), there are a few small stores, a Walgreens pharmacy plus a gas station that also sells groceries. It also has a food outlet for hot and cold meals.


	Restaurants

When staying in our Orlando vacation home rental on your Disney vacations, you will no doubt visit and enjoy many of the restaurants within the locality. Locally, and within 5 minutes drive, you will find many of the usual and popular fast food outlets such as McDonalds, Burger King and Wendy's. For family 'sit-in' restaurants you will find the chain restaurants of Perkins, Beef 'O'Brady's, Cracker Barrel, Bob Evans and Denny's (to name a few), plus there are ethnic restaurants such as Chinese and Indian. A few minutes further drive (on US Highway 192 - just off Highway 27) there are some other large restaurant chains such as Carrabba's Italian Grill, Outback and TGI Friday's. For those looking for the more up-market, intimate and traditional type of restaurant you will find these too!
